Soundtracks for Dance and Theater

Composition, Production, Recordings: Marcelo explores the cello sound and its qualities as a musical support for images, dramaturgy and movement, as well as the possibilities of sound effects, creating musical layers through the recording of cello ensembles (overdub) and different instrumental groups. There is also the possibility of developing vocal music and song soundtracks.

Marcelo privileges associate creative processes, watching rehearsals and taking part in the dramaturgical and coreographical conception of the works and performances for which he composes. He also proposes a deep research of sounds and images based in the themes and texts used by directors and artists, and can produce as well soundtracks for more specific and objective means.

Production

Music Direction and Production for bands and ensembles: arrangements, score writing and editing, booking, organization and conduction for works of recording, editing and mixing.

Arrangements

Scores for string ensembles and quartets, orchestral groups or solo parts.

Cello Lessons

Private cello lessons focusing classical repertoire and/or popular music. Use of traditional methods combined with the possibility of developing and composing exercises for specific student needs. Marcelo also uses improvisation as a technique for introduction to composition.

Classical – Dotzauer, Folkmar Langin, scales and begginer to advanced repertoire.

Popular – introduction to improvisation and harmony, use of the bow as a ryhtmic resource for accompanying .
